It is true that Kathy Petrino has many favorite destinations, but one of the best, as far as she is concerned, is the Coachella Valley, which is located in the middle of the California Low Desert. The Low Desert features many fully-restored hotels and rental homes that will take you back to the immediate post-World War II era. There are also numerous festivals,such as the Coachella Music Festival, one of greatest festivals in the country. This area also is a veritable paradise for hikers and rock climbers, and they are close to Joshua Tree National Park and Salvation Mountain.
